Friends on Eyre Peninsula

After an early start in Burra, we hit the road and made our way to Crystal Brooke. We were excited to explore the town’s railway history and when we arrived, we were not disappointed. We stopped for a delicious breakfast, fueling up for the day ahead. As we walked around the town, we stumbled upon an interesting community art display in the subway. The art was vibrant and full of life, it was a great way to see the town’s history and culture come to life.

After our time in Crystal Brooke, we set off for Louth Bay where we planned to meet up with our friends, the Verschurens. Frank and Rachel are long term friends of ours and a part of our church at home www.banquet.church Franks parents lived in Louth bay for many years and his sister still lives in Pt Lincoln. We had the privilege of staying on the family’s beautiful little beachside block.

As soon as we arrived, we were eager to put the rods in the water and catch some squid, but unfortunately, the wind was too strong and we didn’t catch anything. Despite the lack of squid, we enjoyed the sunset over the bay. Our journey continues as we discover new places and make new memories. We’re looking forward to the next leg of our adventure and all the exciting things it has in store for us.
