Starlink

We’re in the middle of Australia, surrounded by nothing but breathtaking natural beauty, and yet we have access to faster internet than we ever had at home. It’s seriously amazing! With Starlink RV becoming available in Australia in late 2022, we were able to make the most of it and stay connected even in the most remote areas of the country.

As we embark on this incredible journey across Australia, we are constantly in awe of the stunning sunsets and natural wonders that we come across. From the red sands of the outback to the lush greenery of the rainforests, every day is a new adventure. And with Starlink RV, we’re able to document and share our journey with friends and family back home in real-time, making the experience even more special.

With internet speeds of 234Mbps, we’re able to stream our favorite shows and movies, stay in touch with loved ones, and even work remotely if needed. It’s truly a game-changer for road tripping in remote areas. We can now enjoy the best of both worlds, the stunning views of the wilderness and stay connected to the world.

The timing of Starlink RV’s availability in Australia couldn’t have been more perfect. It allows us to make the most of our road trip by staying connected to loved ones and gives us the ability to work remotely – literally the most remote parts of Australia.

Now, it’s a toss-up between the amazing sunsets or the next episode on Netflix. It’s the perfect way to end a long day of exploring and experiencing all that Australia has to offer. We’re excited to see what other adventures and opportunities this technology will bring to our journey.

Lesson of the day: Starlink consists of over 3,300 small satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO), visible at night they look like train of lights.

edit: I just added some photos of our starlink setup on the van. We have it on a pole on the drawbar. It can go 6 metres high if needed. I’ll do another post about the whole setup soon
